May 2006 to the present

"Batuqueira" since 2006, playing agogô at Estácio de Sá since 2016. I began to learn percussion instruments with mestre Odilon Costa and Lucas Chiavatta at Maracatu Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro. I played the ganzá at Bloco Escangalha with Guilherme Gonçalves and with Celso Alvim at Monobloco, where I also learned the agogô with Leo Saad in 2012, remaining in that group for seven years. In 2016, I had a brief passage by Batuquebato (Gabriel Policarpo) and took tamborin classes with Betão / Beto Samsil, Thalita Santos, Keyton Macedo and Serrinha da Raiz at Batuque DigitalI also played the agogô with Exagerado with Felipe Bruno.

Since 2016 I am an agogô rhythmist in the samba school Estácio de Sá, under the regency of mestre Chuvisco and Sidcley Fernandes. 

In 2017 I started studying the cuíca with Zé Reinaldo Mazzer (cuíca director of Estácio de Sá) and Jotinha/Janderson (cuíca director of Grande Rio).

Since March 2018 I also learn the cuíca at the Oficina de Roda de Samba with Fabiano Salek at Maracatu Brasil.

October 2017
Visited the most relevant rare book collections in the Portuguese libraries of Ajuda, Academia das Ciências, Mafra, Évora, Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto, and Braga, besides other intitutions.

March 2012 to the present
Founding member of Bibliocultura, Associação Biblioteca de Cultura, a private library in Rio de Janeiro.

Monarquia, império e sociedade do Antigo Regime na coleção Barbosa Machado.

Consulting for the Coleção Barbosa Machado project.  Creation of a database for about 3,000 rare documents and the establishment  of criteria for the inputting of data. The collection is located at the Fundação Biblioteca Nacional and the project is coordinated by a scholar from the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF).

Translation into Portuguese of abstracts for the Journal of the American Institute for Conservation.

April 1989 to May 1995
Founder and coordenator of GEORJ (Grupo de Estudos de Obras Raras do Rio de Janeiro) in order to study and publish professional texts on the subject in Portuguese. In 1994 the group published (now out of print) a pamphlet on security of rare book collections in libraries, freely distributed to related institutions throughout the country during the 17o. Congresso Brasileiro de Biblioteconomia e Documentação, in 1994.
